Stray Kids’ Felix donates 200 million won to support children’s health and welfare on his birthday

Stray Kids’ Felix marked his birthday in a way that went beyond the usual celebrations, choosing instead to give back in a big way. On Monday, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Felix donated a total of 200 million won (about $144,000) to three organizations: Samsung Medical Center, UNICEF, and World Vision.

In a press release, Felix explained the motivation behind his charitable act: “I feel an overwhelming sense of fulfillment to be able to share the love that all of my fans have given me to helping protect the future of children in and outside of Korea. I truly hope that all children get to dream freely.”

The donation was split across three causes close to his heart. Half of the total, 100 million won, will go to Samsung Medical Center to fund treatment for young patients battling serious illnesses. Another 50 million won will support UNICEF’s clean water project in Laos, a program aimed at ensuring safe drinking water access for children and communities. The remaining 50 million won has been directed to World Vision’s child care programs, which focus on improving the welfare of vulnerable children around the globe.
