Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 has recently been released on Paramount+ and fans in India have since awaiting its premiere in the country. However, the makers have now announced the release of the new season of the highly anticipated science fiction series.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 is set to premiere on July 18 in India on JioHotstar.
The new season has faced multiple delays that have pushed the premiere. Season 3 was officially announced in March 2023, but planning had already begun back in June 2022. Filming was set to start in May 2023, but it was delayed because of the Hollywood labour strikes.
Production finally kicked off in December 2023 and finished in May 2024 at CBS Stages Canada in Mississauga, Ontario.
However, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 will kick off from the season 2 cliffhanger. The upcoming season follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the USS Enterprise as they take on high-stakes missions in space in the year 2305.
True to its episodic format, the season explores different tones and genres, ranging from intense sci-fi action to gripping suspense. Each episode provides a new experience.
The series will see the returning cast members, including Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romijn, reprising their respective characters, Captain Pike, Spock, and Number One. The ensemble cast also features Martin Quinn, Babs Olusanmokun, Melissa Navia, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, and Jess Bush.
The thrilling pack of 10-episode season will be streamed weekly in India on JioHotstar, with episode 1 dropping on July 18 and the finale on September 12, 2025.
