Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was spotted in Mumbai on Wednesday night, attending the birthday celebration of his friend and director Siddharth Anand. Sidharth had directed the superhit hit film Pathaan, which featured SRK in the lead role.
There are reports that SRK is soon going to fly to the US for eye surgery.
In the video clicked by paps in the city, Shah Rukh Khan is seen entering a restaurant in Bandra through the backdoor, accompanied by heavy security and his manager, Pooja Dadlani.
Dressed in a black t-shirt, matching jacket, and blue jeans, Shah Rukh completed his look with a ponytail and dark sunglasses. A few hours later, he was seen exiting the restaurant, now just wearing the black tee and holding his jacket. He quickly got into his white SUV, which sped off into the night.
Earlier that day, Shah Rukh attended a BCCI meeting with Indian Premier League stakeholders. As the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, he reportedly had a heated exchange with Ness Wadia, co-owner of Punjab Kings XI and former boyfriend of Shah Rukh’s Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer-Zaara co-star Preity Zinta.
Shah Rukh's presence in Mumbai dispelled the surgery rumors and highlighted his busy schedule. Prior to this, he and his family were in London for several weeks as part of the pre-production for his next film, King, in which he will share the screen with his daughter, Suhana Khan.
The family had attended several wedding ceremonies, including those of Annat Ambani and Radhika Merchant, before returning to Mumbai due to the unfortunate news of filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan's mother's passing. Shah Rukh, his wife Gauri Khan, and Suhana were seen consoling Farah at her residence, showing their close bond.
King, Shah Rukh’s upcoming project, will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and co-produced by his banner Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand's Marflix Pictures. The film will also star Abhishek Bachchan as the chief antagonist, promising an exciting cinematic experience.
