Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana starrer film King is much anticipated. While there is no official report regarding the entire ensemble cast of the action thriller, actor Saurabh Shukla hinted at joining the team with his latest social media post.
Saurav took to his Instagram stories on Friday and shared a photo of a personalized gift hamper that also included a white mug with 'King' inscribed on it. Expressing his excitement, he wrote in the caption, "With @iamsrk after years and the little princess for the first time. #Actinglife."
For those unaware, Shah Rukh Khan and veteran actor Saurabh Shukla have appeared together on screen in three previous films- Mohabbatein, Hey Ram, and Badshah. The two have now reconnected on the King sets, where Suhana Khan recently joined them.
The trio reportedly filmed a significant sequence on Wednesday, May 21, with a nearly 12-hour schedule that began at 9 a.m., according to a report by Mid-Day. According to reports, the movie's pre-production phase involved lengthy workshops to make sure every detail was perfected before cameras were set.
King will be directed by Siddharth Anand who previously worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan. But according to reports, the movie is a Hindi version of the French cult classic Leon: The Professional, which released in 1994.
Shah Rukh Khan is anticipated to play a vicious, well-trained assassin in this version, a role that is different from any he has ever played. Meanwhile, Suhana Khan is prepared to play his young protégé in her stage debut.
The film also reportedly stars Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma in Key roles. Deepika Padukone will likely be seen in a special cameo. However, the makers have not official confirmed regarding the cast.
