The trailer of Keerthy Suresh’s upcoming action entertainer Revolver Rita is out, and it lands with the kind of punch you don’t usually associate with her filmography. Released by Vijay Sethupathi on social media, the trailer sets up a story where Keerthy steps into the shoes of a woman pushed so far into a corner that she becomes her own army. The tone is playful, chaotic, and violent in equal measure.

Directed by JK Chandru, the film opens in theatres on November 28. The trailer, also shared by Venkat Prabhu, shows Keerthy in a completely reworked avatar. The glimpses hint at a character who isn’t just reacting to trouble but actively hunting it down to protect the people she cares about. The makers echoed this spirit in their announcement post, writing that the revolver is “all set to roll” as the film prepares its Tamil and Telugu release.

The teaser that dropped earlier had already set the mood. Keerthy, dressed casually and buying vegetables, loses her handbag to a group of goons. Their expressions twist from triumph to panic once they discover what the bag contains: a revolver, a blood-stained knife, and a bomb. She walks into their den moments later, demanding her bag back with a calmness that rattles them more than any weapon. They can’t decide whether she’s a RAW operative, a gangster, or a cop. Before anyone reaches a conclusion, she gets a call from her mother, played by Radikaa Sarathkumar, who simply reminds her to pick up tomatoes. It’s that mix of humour and danger that seems to be driving the film’s tone.
