Devi Sri Prasad hails Rashmika Mandanna; says, 'You deserve a NATIONAL AWARD for THE GIRLFRIEND’

Music composer Devi Sri Prasad, who gave Rashmika Mandanna her chart-topping hits like Srivalli and Peelings, has heaped praise on the actor for her latest performance in The Girlfriend. Praising Rashmika’s emotional depth and versatility, he called her performance National Award-worthy.

Sharing the note on X, the Pushpa composer wrote, “The Girlfriend — a movie that I clapped for wholeheartedly in recent times!! Woww! RASHMIKAAAA You are not just the ‘NATIONAL CRUSH’. You deserve a ‘NATIONAL AWARD’ for ‘THE GIRLFRIEND’.” (sic)

Talking about her versatility, he said, “After enchanting us with such versatile performances in films like ‘Pushpa’, ‘Animal’, ‘Chaava’, and ‘Kubera’, how could you bring back that innocence so effortlessly? The depth in each expression is mind-blowing. I know how — because you just lived it.” (sic)

Devi Sri Prasad also lauded the film’s team, writing, “Rahul sir, how could you handle such a sensitive movie in such a brilliant way? Kudos to you! And the producers at Geetha Arts for giving us this beautiful emotion.” He went on to praise co-stars Dheekshith Shetty and Anu Emmanuel, calling their performances “fantastic” and “subtly mature”, respectively.
