The highly anticipated first look and the Dhurandhar's theatrical release date were both formally revealed by the creators on July 6. This action-packed thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, will be released in theatres on December 5, 2025, and stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
In addition to Ranveer, the film features a strong ensemble cast that includes Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt.
However, the announcement has sparked conversations about an upcoming box office battle because Dhurandhar will be competing with two other big releases: Prabhas' The Raja Saab and an action-thriller, Arjun Ustara which stars Shahid Kapoor and is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
In addition to revealing Dhurandhar's rugged appearance and intense, high-octane visuals, Ranveer Singh used social media to share a first look at the rest of the cast. A dramatic cinematic experience is set in motion by the teaser, which implies a compelling story with violent undertones.
On the same day, Prabhas' next romantic horror comedy, The Raja Saab, which was directed by Maruthi, will also be released. To the delight of fans, the movie just released a teaser that showed Prabhas playing two parts. The film, which promises a mix of romance and supernatural elements, also stars Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar.
Shahid Kapoor’s next film, helmed by acclaimed director Vishal Bhardwaj, has already generated buzz. The film began production earlier this year, with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment posting a behind-the-scenes look from the mahurat shoot.
Their caption read: “A sneak-peek into a spectacular journey that begins today! Stay tuned as the magic unfolds. Straight from the Mahurat shoot! SajidNadiadwala Presents A @vishalrbhardwaj Film. Film releasing on 5th December 2025.”
