Priyanka Chopra made her fifth appearance at the Met Gala in 2025, arriving hand-in-hand with her husband, Nick Jonas. This year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, focused on celebrating Black fashion, menswear, and androgynous styling. Priyanka embraced the theme with a bold yet elegant retro-inspired outfit by Balmain.
Her look was classic but eye-catching. The outfit featured a straight-fit, buttoned dress paired with a matching blazer that hugged her waist and flowed into a neat, dramatic train. The entire ensemble was covered in playful polka dots, adding just the right amount of flair without being too loud. She completed the look with stylish velvet gloves and a striking hat, both of which gave a nod to the dandy fashion style the theme encouraged. But the real showstopper was the large emerald Bulgari necklace she wore — sparkling like something out of Titanic.
Though her look wasn’t strictly androgynous, the sharp cuts and tailored fit gave it a strong and confident edge. Priyanka’s presence brought a powerful, boss-like energy to the red carpet. Her confident stance and stylish interpretation of the theme made her one of the most memorable attendees of the night.
Indian celebrities made a strong impact at this year’s Met Gala. Shah Rukh Khan attended for the first time, wearing Sabyasachi. Kiara Advani, who is pregnant, wore a unique Gaurav Gupta breastplate gown. Designer Manish Malhotra also made his Met Gala debut. Other Indian stars included Isha Ambani in Anamika Khanna, Natasha Poonawalla in Manish Malhotra, and Mona Patel in Thom Browne.
This year’s theme was very different from last year’s Garden of Time, which had a more feminine and whimsical style. The 2025 theme brought a fresh and bold change.
Priyanka has now walked the Met Gala carpet five times. She started in 2017 wearing Ralph Lauren, followed by another Ralph Lauren look in 2018, Dior in 2019, Valentino in 2023, and now Balmain in 2025.
