Phule, a biographical film based on the lives of social reformers Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule, has sparked controversy following the release of its trailer.

Anand Dave, President of the Brahmin Federation, raised objections after watching the trailer, alleging that the film promotes casteism. He also emphasized the need to recognize the role played by the ‘black Brahmin’ community in supporting the Phules during their reformist journey.
