Police in the Atlanta area have arrested a man accused of stealing hard drives that reportedly contained unreleased music from Beyoncé. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Kelvin Evans, was taken into custody after investigators linked him to a July car break-in during the singer’s Cowboy Carter tour stop.
According to authorities, Evans allegedly broke into a rented SUV on July 8 and made off with several items, including hard drives connected to Beyoncé’s team.
He is now in jail facing a charge of entering an automobile with intent to commit theft. It’s not yet clear if Evans has retained legal representation.
A 911 call hints at high stakes
Police reports say the car had been rented by one of Beyoncé’s choreographers. A 911 call from that night, reported by CNN, underscored the urgency. “They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there,” the caller said. “I work with someone who’s like, of a high status, and I really need the, um, my computer and everything.”

The stolen property hasn’t been recovered. That includes the hard drives, which investigators believe may have held unreleased material tied to the Grammy winner’s recent projects.
Beyoncé has not commented
So far, Beyoncé has remained silent on the incident, and her representatives have not responded to media requests. For now, the case is moving forward with Evans behind bars while police continue searching for the missing equipment.
