Varrier gained immediate fame in 2019 after making a wink that went viral in the Malayalam movie Oru Adaar Love. Many fans were perplexed when the actress was recently seen in a small supporting role in the romantic comedy Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor.

A video clip from the movie that has gone viral on social media shows Priya in a red-and-white saree, walking silently behind Sidharth Malhotra during a crowd scene. Many were taken aback to see the once-popular "national crush" as an extra, which sparked discussions on the internet.
