Bollywood director, Nitesh Tiwari, gearing up to make the upcoming film, Ramayana. However, the director has recently reflected on his filmmaking journey and a classic film that he would love to remake. He also shared the struggles to actually bring the remake to the screens.
During his latest appearance on the Game Changers podcast, director Nitesh Tiwari was asked to pick a 1970s film for a remake and whom he would cast in the movie. However, the filmmaker picked two classic films but claimed that the cast would not be ready to star in those films.
He said, “It would either be Amar Akbar Anthony or Deewar. But I don’t think I can cast for it today. Humare actors log ready nahi honge sir. Amar Akbar Anthony aur Deewar aj ki date main banana bohot difficult hai sir. (Our actors won’t get ready. In today’s time, it is very difficult to make Amar Akbar Anthony or Deewar).”
The cult classic Indian film, Amar Akbar Anthony, featured an iconic trio - Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan. The film was directed by Manmohan Desai.
