Nayanthara’s birthday came with a surprise for fans as the makers of her upcoming film Hi unveiled a new poster featuring the actor in a warm, homely setting, with a curious nostalgic twist. Released by Seven Screen Studio, the poster shows Nayanthara smiling while holding a casserole, framed against a backdrop that includes early-era portraits of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. The detail immediately sparked discussion online, with many wondering whether the artwork hints at the film’s themes or the world it is set in.

The makers shared the poster with a birthday message that read, Happy Birthday to the ever-inspiring and graceful Nayanthara! Wishing you a year filled with love, success, and happiness. The post quickly travelled across social media, adding to the anticipation around the film, which pairs Nayanthara with actor Kavin for the first time.

Hi, directed by debutant filmmaker Vishnu Edavan, has been in the news ever since the team announced the title a few weeks ago. The first-look poster featured Nayanthara and Kavin in a fresh, contemporary mood piece, suggesting a story centred around two individuals who connect over something deeply meaningful to them. Zee Studios described the project with the teaser line, Hi :) A word, a spark, a story. The first look of Hi starring Nayanthara and Kavin. The tone indicated a relationship drama with emotional depth.
