Punjabi singer Teji Kahlon was reportedly shot in Canada in what appears to be a targeted attack believed to be linked to an ongoing cross-border gang rivalry. The shocking incident has caused a stir within the Punjabi community, both in India and abroad.
Three men connected to gangster Rohit Godara have reportedly taken credit for the shooting. They publicly acknowledged assaulting the singer in a daring social media post and warned that this was just the start. The threat sounded very personal and intentional as they continued by saying that they were ready to go to any lengths and even "finish" the man if necessary.

The post, shared by men identified as Mahender Saran Dilana, Rahul Rinau, and Vicky Phalwan, stated, “We carried out the shooting in Canada at Teji Kahlon. He was shot in the stomach. If he understands, fine. If not, next time we will finish him.”

A more general warning was issued at the end of the chilling statement, stating that anyone who aids or encourages their enemies will be viewed as an enemy themselves. The incident has raised serious concerns about safety among Punjabi artists living abroad, many of whom have previously reported receiving threats linked to the ongoing gang rivalries between groups operating in India and Canada.
