BLACKPINK’s Lisa recently made a highly anticipated solo comeback with her latest single ROCKSTAR. Fans were thrilled with her fierce look in the music video, which has already amassed over 77 million views on YouTube. However, this special moment has been overshadowed by ongoing plagiarism accusations against the K-pop star.

Gabriel Moses, the cinematographer behind Travis Scott’s FE!N music video, has recently accused Lisa of plagiarism. He shared a screenshot of an email from a netizen claiming that a female artist had blatantly imitated a clip from the FE!N music video. Moses then posted a frame from Lisa’s ROCKSTAR music video alongside a shot from FE!N on his Instagram story, accusing the K-pop idol of copying his work and demanding due credits by the end of the month.

These allegations have sparked mixed reactions among netizens. Some are calling Lisa out for allegedly plagiarising, while others believe she was inspired by the FE!N music video and used the idea with significant modifications in her own video. There are also voices defending Lisa, pointing out that many artists have used similar shots without facing the same level of scrutiny.

This is not the first plagiarism accusation that Lisa has faced regarding her ROCKSTAR music video. A few days ago, a Chinese designer named Yue Yang accused Lisa of wearing a "rip-off" of her original design in the video. The star-shaped top Lisa wore, symbolising the song’s title, was allegedly copied from Yue Yang’s design. The designer provided the making process of her original piece and claimed that Lisa’s team did not contact her for permission.

Fans and critics have been divided over this allegation as well. While some were disappointed by the news, others argued that the star-shaped design is not exclusive and that the one used in ROCKSTAR differs enough to avoid being labeled a rip-off.
