Apsara theatre in Kerala’s Kozhikode was shut down in 2023 but a year after its closure, the theatre is being reopened. It is one of the biggest cinema halls in Kerala.

The iconic Apsara theatre in Kerala's Kozhikode is all set to reopen once again and it has come as a great news for the residents and cinema lovers. The theatre, which was opened 52 years ago, was closed down in May 2023.

Apsara theatre is a single screen and close to 1000 people can watch a movie together and it is one of the biggest in Kerala.

The theatre has been taken over by Listin Stephen's Magic Frames and now the theatre will be renamed as 'Magic Frames Apsara'.
