In Mumbai, the poster for the highly anticipated film ‘Dharmaveer 2’ was recently unveiled by actor and producer Bobby Deol, joined by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with the film’s cast and crew.
Building on the success of its predecessor, this sequel is set to further explore the life and legacy of the late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe. The unveiling event was marked by the presence of notable personalities including Prasad Oak, who returns to his role as Anand Dighe, and Pravin Tarde, the director who gained acclaim for his work on the original film.
Bobby Deol said, “It’s an honour to be part of this celebration. The performance in the first part was commendable, and I congratulate CM Eknath Shinde on his two successful years in government.”
CM Eknath Shinde spoke about the subject of the film and what it means to him, “Anand Dighe was not just a leader but my guru. His life and contributions continue to inspire us. I am proud to support this cinematic portrayal of his legacy.”
Producers present at the event included Mangesh Desai of Saahil Motion Arts and Umesh Bansal, the Chief Business Officer of Zee.
The first film, directed by Pravin Tarde, was a commercial success and received praise for its genuine depiction of Anand Dighe’s life.
