Ajay Devgn and Tabu star as lovers separated by sins of the past in this much anticipated romance thriller titled ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.’ The first trailer for the Neeraj Pandey directed film was dropped by production house NH Studioz on Thursday.
The three minute long trailer shows us a glimpse of the film that spans two decades, from 2000 to 2023. It shows the story of two passionate young lovers Krishna (Devgn) and Basu (Tabu) in Mumbai when an unexpected turn in the story occurs and Krishna ends up in jail for the murder of two people. Meanwhile, Basu ends up marrying another man but seemingly has not forgotten about her first love as she is seen cherishing a plastic ring that was probably given to her by Krishna.
The trailer shows that he is reaching the end of his prison sentence yet is reluctant to adapt back to normal life and even wrote a letter demanding an extension of his sentence.
Basu, with sindoor on her head, is seen remembering Krishna’s release date. She goes to meet him after he gets released and admits that she thought about him every day since he left. Later, she introduces him to Abhijeet (Jimmy Shergill), her husband.
Abhijeet, curious as to why Krishna threw his life away on that fateful night of the murders to which Krishna says, "It is a problem with the mind which acts first and thinks or comprehends later.”
The trailer also features Shantanu Maheshwari as young Krishna expressing his wholehearted love toward Saiee Manjrekar as young Basu.
Produced by Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Sangeeta Ahir and Shital Bhatia, ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ will hit theatres on 5 July.
