Shihan Hussaini, a talented artist and athlete, is skilled in martial arts, archery, sculpting, acting, and hosting, and has gained many fans with his impressive work throughout the year. However, he has recently left his fans shocked after he revealed his cancer diagnosis.
Shihan has recently informed his fans that he is suffering from blood cancer and aplastic anemia. He has also requested his former students Vijay and Pawan Kalyan for financial help.
During a recent interview with Galatta, Shihan Hussaini shared the emotional and physical challenges he endures every day while battling cancer. Despite the challenges, he remains committed to his passions for martial arts and archery.
The martial art expert said, "Every day is a battle, but I am a fighter trained in karate. I cannot let cancer distance me from what I love.”
However, Shihan further revealed that he needs two units of blood every day and has been planning to sell his “sacred” training center to get financial help. He has notably requested Pawan Kalyan and Vijay to purchase the center.
He shared, “I named him Pawan, and I believe he will hear my words. I hope he will buy the center and continue its operations. He has reached great heights and is now a Deputy Chief Minister, but I remember him from the days when he trained under me, cleaned the center, and served me tea.”
Shihan Hussaini wants to share martial arts and archery with many people, and he hopes Pawan Kalyan can help make this dream come true by keeping his training center open.
Shihan further noted, “I wish Vijay would support my vision of having an archery enthusiast in every Tamil household and ensure that someone from the state represents the nation at the Olympics.”
After Shihan Hussaini’s request, the Tamil Nadu government has come forward and has extended financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh. The fund was issued by Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority on the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
For the unversed, Shihan Hussaini has a significant contribution to archery in India. He has developed modern archers in Tamil Nadu and has trained more than 400 archers.
He has also starred in several films and collaborated with Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, and Vijay throughout his career. He was last seen on big screens in Vignesh Shivan's 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal'.
