The wait has stretched to four years, but the excitement around The Family Man hasn’t dipped for a moment. As Season 3 arrives, the series once again finds itself at the centre of intense fan discussion, not only for its return but for what lies ahead. Manoj Bajpayee, who plays the widely loved intelligence officer Srikant Tiwari, addressed these questions in an conversation with India Today, offering a clear hint about the show’s future while reflecting on the pressure that comes with such enduring popularity.

The actor acknowledged the long gap between seasons and explained why it happens. “The job of a writer is very difficult,” he said, noting that once a season drops, the writing process for the next one only begins afterward. “When writers start writing, it takes 8–10 months to finish the script. There will be the story, then the Bible, then the scripting, then the dialogues. Then again, they will do the second, third draft... So it takes time.” Bajpayee added that fans often binge the show in a day and immediately demand updates, which he finds both amusing and heartening.
On the burning question of whether Season 4 is confirmed, Bajpayee offered cautious optimism. “I think it should come. I can say it based on the shoot that we did. Rest, Amazon (Prime Video) and Raj and DK would know.”

Bajpayee also recalled a moment that captured the show’s cultural impact in an unexpectedly emotional way. After his father passed away, he was travelling home for the funeral. During the flight, unaware of his loss, the pilots seated near him kept discussing The Family Man throughout the journey. “Not funny but quite bizarre and ironic,” he said. “It shows how much impact this series has left on people. So, I take it as a compliment.”
