The ongoing controversy surrounding actor Lee Yi Kyung has taken another turn after his alleged accuser, identified only as “A,” shared a fresh video online in an attempt to counter claims that the direct messages she previously released were fabricated using artificial intelligence.
In her latest update, A posted a screen-recorded video of her phone, showing what she says are original direct messages exchanged with Lee Yi Kyung. According to Koreaboo, the clip was meant to demonstrate that the messages were genuine and not AI-generated, an accusation that has circulated widely amid the controversy.
“Raise your hand if you still think this is AI. (For the last time)… If this is real… then the rest of the KakaoTalk messages would be real too, right? I’m embarrassed… but it can’t be helped,” A wrote alongside the video.
The allegations first surfaced when A accused Lee Yi Kyung of persistently hitting on her and shared screenshots of their alleged conversations online. Lee Yi Kyung later denied the claims, stating that the accusations were false. Despite his denial, A has continued to push back, repeatedly insisting that her experience is real.
Many netizens have expressed frustration over the prolonged dispute, questioning the relevance of the claims and whether they warrant continued attention.
“But even if these claims are real, it’s just his personal life, and it’s not like he threatened her or did anything forcibly,” one comment read. Another added, “Did he clarify about the DM video? It’s strange that they’re exposing private chats like this. What’s the real damage here?”
Others were more critical of the actor, with some stating they no longer wished to see him on television, while a number of users speculated that the messages could be spam or phishing rather than AI.
The controversy gained further traction following a November 26 upload by YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho. In a video titled “Shocking Exclusive! ‘The Real Reason I Exposed Him’ — Lee Yi Kyung’s German Accuser Speaks Out For the First Time,” A gave her first in-depth interview on the issue.
During the interview, A claimed she first contacted Lee Yi Kyung in February 2024 after watching one of his dramas. “I first sent him a DM because I was interested in him, and I was surprised when he replied,” she said, adding that Lee initially questioned whether she was truly from Germany and asked her to send a selfie for confirmation.
A denied claims from Lee Yi Kyung’s agency that she had sent explicit photos first. She said her intention in going public was to prevent further victims. “At first, we had good conversations, but as we talked daily, things started to become sexual,” she alleged. “His sexual comments became worse over time… he started saying things that scared me, and that’s when I decided to expose it.”
She also addressed her earlier statement in which she claimed the messages were AI-generated, explaining that a Korean acquaintance had advised her that the controversy would fade quickly. “I didn’t understand Korean law or culture well,” she said, adding that she later reversed her statement out of fear that others might be harmed.

Lee Yi Kyung’s agency has previously stated that legal action has been taken against A. However, A claims she has not received any official legal documents. She further revealed that she contacted the agency in May 2025 to confirm whether the messages were genuinely sent by the actor, saying some of the content alarmed her.
“I just want everything to quiet down,” A concluded. “I regret making this such a big issue… I hope he lives well.”
