Rumours about a possible romance between BTS’ V (Kim Taehyung) and IVE’s Jang Wonyoung have taken over social media, after an online post claiming to expose “proof” of their relationship went viral.
It all began when a user named @momo shared a compilation of alleged evidence on the Chinese platform Douban — and it didn’t take long for the post to reach international fan circles.
The so-called “proof list” features a series of coincidences that some fans believe point to more than just friendship. While none of it confirms anything outright, the overlapping details have certainly stirred up excitement — and plenty of scepticism.
The fact that both celebrities allegedly shared photos from the same upscale location in Seoul, SAN Restaurant, within a day of one another is among the most talked-about topics. In the photos, fans noticed identical glassware and similar-looking menu items, sparking curiosity.
Then there’s a photo of Jang Wonyoung at a marble dining table, which many fans claim matches the interior of V’s home, seen before in BTS content. The noodle dish she’s eating in the image? Rumoured to be one of V’s go-to orders from a favourite local eatery.
Another detail that caught attention was Jang Wonyoung playing songs during a livestream that V had previously recommended — a coincidence that didn’t go unnoticed by ARMY and DIVE fans alike.
Things escalated further when both stars were spotted in Los Angeles around the time of KCON. Although there’s no confirmation they met, their shared visit to LA’s popular Mother Wolf restaurant only fuelled the speculation.
So far, neither HYBE (V’s agency) nor Starship Entertainment (which manages IVE) has responded to the rumours.
