In the leaked texts, Kim Sae-Ron is reportedly seen expressing her frustration with Soo Hyun's behaviour. “Oppa, when you miss me and need me, you keep in touch with me without a problem, but when I need you, you’re always MIA. If you don’t put in the effort, then I’m not seeing you anymore,” she allegedly wrote, hinting at her desire to end the relationship due to his lack of availability.

This revelation follows a statement from Kim Soo Hyun, where he addressed the claims surrounding his relationship with Sae-Ron. In his response, the actor made it clear, “I’ll address the biggest concern—I did not date the deceased when she was a minor. We dated five years ago for about a year, long before Queen of Tears aired.” Soo Hyun went on to explain why he had previously denied the relationship, noting, “As the lead actor of Queen of Tears, I couldn’t confirm the relationship publicly because of its potential impact on the cast and crew.”
