Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, saw a big fall in its box office collection on its fourth day. Released on April 18, the historical drama had a good weekend run but faced a sharp 61.75% drop in earnings on Monday, April 21. On that day, the movie earned Rs 4.59 crore net in India, compared to higher earnings on Saturday and Sunday.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie picked up well over the weekend. Saturday showed growth, and Sunday performed even better. This came after a slow start on Friday morning. Taran noted that cities like Mumbai, Delhi, NCR, Bengaluru, and Pune were the top-performing areas. He also mentioned that other cities such as Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Bhopal, and Chandigarh also saw better numbers on Sunday.
However, the drop on Monday has raised concerns about the film's performance in the coming days. Another analyst, Sumit Kadel, mentioned on X (formerly Twitter) that the film needed to make at least ₹6 crore on Monday to remain strong. But it only made Rs 3.30 crore, making the next few days—Tuesday to Thursday—very important for the movie’s survival at the box office.

So far, in four days, Kesari Chapter 2 has made Rs 34.09 crore net in India. The film also did well worldwide in its first three days, earning Rs 49.75 crore gross. This includes Rs 14.50 crore from overseas markets and Rs 35.25 crore from domestic business. However, the filmmakers claim a slightly different number, saying the movie made Rs 29.62 crore net in the first three days.
