The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) has recently hosted a special International Women's Day event, ‘The Journey of Women in Cinema,’ in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The event was hosted as part of its grand Silver Jubilee celebrations, honoring 25 years of cinematic excellence and global unity.
The event was moderated by IIFA Vice President Noreen Khan with actor Madhuri Dixit and filmmaker Guneet Monga in attendance. However, Madhuri delighted her fans with her iconic hook steps of the Ek Do Teen song.
The actress looked stunning in a golden attire. She opted for a shimmery blouse and paired it with a draped skirt. However, the actress talked about her 39 years in the film industry and how women's roles have improved.
Madhuri also noted during the event that women are now main characters, not just supporting ones. Meanwhile, the Academy Award-winning producer, Guneet Monga, shared her struggles, winning an Oscar, and the importance of women leading. She's hopeful for the future because more women are working in Indian films.
The ‘The Journey of Women in Cinema’ kickstarted the three-day 2025 IIFA. Meanwhile, the IIFA Awards' 25th anniversary celebration will unfold over two days, Saturday and Sunday, with Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan serving as hosts. The event promises exciting performances by Bollywood legends Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

On the work front, Madhuri has starred in some of the hit films including Tezaab, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Dil To Pagal Hai, Khalnayak and Devdas. The actress was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
