Prateek Dixit, the Co-Founder and CTO of the audio series platform Pocket FM told Moneycontrol that incorporating AI was “not just an option.”
“Embracing AI wasn't just an option; it was a strategic imperative to redefine operations and deliver improved user experiences, while complementing the creation process by empowering the writers community with the right technologies,” Prateek stated.

Talking about the benefits of Generative AI, Prateek added, “Being an AI-first organisation, we are continuously improvising the system with data points from the listeners, network operators, internet speed, and the historical consumption pattern. Generative AI (Gen AI) is a major area of focus for us, and we plan to invest in developing strong capabilities across language translation, synthetic voice production, and text-to-visuals. Our experiments with Gen AI have yielded impressive results in several areas, including accuracy, speed and efficiency, adaptability, user experience, and accessibility.”
Artificial Intelligence, bound with benefits also faces risks of ethical compromises. Prateek Dixit, however, aims to create new ethical practices with AI in audio entertainment.

“By demonstrating the successful integration of AI and prioritising responsible development—emphasising data privacy, fairness, and human oversight—we hope to inspire a new era of ethical AI practices within audio entertainment,” he said.
Looking ahead, Prateek Dixit is optimistic about the integration of Artificial Intelligence in the realm of audio entertainment, “The future is bright for AI in audio, and we are committed to fostering collaboration and innovation. We aim to work alongside other companies and research institutions to push the boundaries of what's possible."
