US rapper Travis Scott’s highly anticipated India debut with his CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour in Delhi is making waves online. Despite being touted as a “sold-out” event at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, social media is flooded with videos showing empty seats, an unresponsive crowd, and a long 4-hour wait before the artist took the stage.
The SICKO MODE hitmaker’s first-ever India concert was billed as a historic night for hip-hop fans. However, concertgoers are now describing the atmosphere as “flat” and “disappointing.” One attendee shared a clip of herself dancing alone amid an unmoved crowd. “Main akele vibe karke kkitna bacha paugi Travis? Sach toh ye hai ki crowd aur concert dono dead the. I already know he doesn’t wanna show up on 19th now,” she wrote.
Many others echoed the sentiment. One fan wrote, “Travis bhai ke liye bura lag raha,” while another added, “Hope the Mumbai concert won’t be like this. Why were people just standing still? Why’d they even buy tickets?”
Long wait times and lack of amenities added to attendees’ frustration. A user revealed, “They kept us waiting for like 4 hours and we had no water in the Silver section.” Another summarised the night’s mood grimly, “Trust me… he’s not coming back ever again. Dead crowd, half-empty arena, people just know 2–3 songs. Most of the crowd are uni kids trying to fit in and make reels.”
Some, however, defended the event, claiming the energy in the Gold and Silver standing zones was electric, with videos showing fans grooving to FE!N. “I hate to break it to you but Silver standing was full rage, idk what you been up to,” one fan countered.
Some concertgoers blamed poor planning and ticket mismanagement. “Can’t just blame people, organisers should have picked a better date and prevented ticket scalping,” one attendee argued.

Over 3,400 personnel, including 1,600 private security staff and 1,200–1,800 Delhi Police officers, were deployed for the two-day event to ensure safety and smooth operations. Yet, despite the elaborate arrangements, the Delhi leg of Travis Scott’s debut left many questioning whether India will see him perform again.
The rapper is set to perform in Mumbai tonight.
