Preetika Rao recently hit back at a user on Instagram for posting romantic edits featuring her and Harshad Arora from their show Beintehaa. The duo, who starred in the popular 2014 romantic drama and won hearts with their on-screen chemistry, have now found themselves at the centre of controversy after a now-deleted screenshot of Preetika’s comment in response to the fan edit surfaced online and quickly went viral.

The controversial comment reportedly read, "Don't edit reels on man who sleeps with every woman. In Beintehaa, out of 95% of no touch and we had 5% of scenes and you are blasting this all throughout against my wishes." The unexpected nature of the remark, combined with the fact that it surfaced more than a decade after the show aired, left fans shocked and confused.

Folled by these comments, Harshad Arora has broken his silence. In a recent interview with The Times of India, the actor expressed both surprise and disappointment. “I'm not sure why she would say something like that — whether it's for publicity or attention. It's so irrelevant because it's been so many years and out of nowhere, why would you write such a thing? We haven't spoken since the show ended. Yes, we didn't get along during the shoot, but we were always professional,” he shared.

Harshad also questioned the possibility of someone else managing her social media, noting, “Though I've heard claims that someone else was handling her account, I believe nothing goes out without the account holder's knowledge.” He called the statement unnecessary and derogatory, adding, "Now, I hear she's travelling and unavailable to respond — why avoid clarifying it now?"
