Nancy Tyagi, a fashion influencer, made headlines at the 78th Cannes Film Festival for the second time. Nancy, well-known for her widely shared do-it-yourself fashion videos in which she creates and sews her own ensembles from the ground up, showcased her distinctive originality and artistry on the esteemed red carpet.
She chose a beige ensemble with a very personal meaning this year. Nancy unveiled her red carpet ensemble on Instagram on May 18, stating that the colour was selected in memory of her mother.
“Ye colour meri mummy ka favourite hai, isliye iss baar decide kiya ki isi colour mein dress design karun,” she wrote, which translates to, “This colour is my mother's favourite, so this time I decided to design a dress in this colour.”
The breathtaking ensemble took her 25 days to complete and, according to Nancy, required effort until the very last minute due to its sheer weight. “Heartfelt thanks to all those who were a part of this lovely journey, without you all, this moment would not be so special,” she added.
Nancy's creation was truly remarkable. A mini silk dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline and exquisite pearl, crystal, and tassel embellishments was part of the ensemble. A dramatic cape jacket with long, flowing train and voluminous sleeves complemented the dress and gave her appearance more grandeur.
She further enhanced the look with statement rings, metallic OTT nails, a glitteringly embellished clutch, gold ear cuffs, and high heels adorned with crystals. A messy, twisted bun parted in the middle, bold brows, flushed cheeks, winged eyeliner, mascara-filled lashes, glossy pink lips, and a hint of radiant highlighter were all part of her beauty look.
Nancy had already drawn attention earlier in the festival when she debuted in a blush pink floor-length gown embellished with sequins, shimmering crystals, layered tulle, and rose-shaped flowers. Her first appearance was equally praised when paired with dramatic makeup and a sleek center-parted bun.
