The term "nepotism" has long been a point of debate in the film industry. When asked about the nepotism debate and if she also got pointed out, she offers a grounded response.

“Every kid who comes from a film family does have some privilege of experience. They do. But my journey has not been a typical star kid journey, because if it was a typical star kid journey, I would have signed multiple films way before. My work has been step-by-step. In fact, a lot of people figured out later after watching Mirzapur that I am Sachin Pilgaonkar’s daughter. It's because of the way I came into the industry, Hindi film industry was through auditions," she told us.
