BTS’ V to throw ceremonial first pitch at LA Dodgers game

At Dodger Stadium later this month, BTS member Kim Taehyung, better known to fans around the world as V, is getting ready to make history. The K-pop sensation has already sent ARMYs into a frenzy after receiving an invitation to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball (MLB) game.

The Los Angeles Dodgers confirmed the news on 17 August (local time), posting on social media: “Army, are you ready? V will pitch at Dodger Stadium on August 25th.” The announcement caused an immediate surge in ticket demand, with reservation platforms reportedly crashing under the weight of excited fans rushing to secure their seats.

The ceremonial first pitch is a long-standing custom in American baseball culture where a special guest, usually a public figure, athlete, or celebrity, throws a ball to signal the start of play. It will be a historic moment for V, whose fan base spans continents, to take the mound.
