BTS’s Jimin has once again shown why he is admired not just as a global music icon but also as a philanthropist with a deep sense of responsibility. The singer recently donated 100 million KRW (around Rs 65 lakh or 75,000 USD) to the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education, with the funds dedicated to supporting children’s education across the region.

On September 25, the Jeonbuk education office confirmed to Dispatch that Jimin’s representatives had first communicated his intention back in July. The donation process was personally facilitated by Jimin’s father, who reached out to the provincial office and later ensured the funds were transferred to the Love Scholarship Foundation.

The donation will be used to provide scholarships to students in elementary, middle, high, and special schools across North Jeolla Province. These scholarships will help academically gifted students as well as those from financially struggling backgrounds, ensuring that education remains accessible and inspiring for every child.

This generous act is not an isolated one. Since 2019, Jimin has consistently supported educational initiatives across South Korea. He has previously donated 100 million KRW each to the education offices in Busan, Jeonnam, Gangwon, Chungbuk, and Gyeongnam. With Jeonbuk added to the list, this marks his sixth major donation to provincial education offices.
