A new face is all set to make her mark in Bollywood — Simar Bhatia, the niece of superstar Akshay Kumar and daughter of Alka Bhatia, is stepping into the limelight with her debut film Ikkis.

Born to Alka Bhatia, Akshay Kumar’s sister, and her first husband Vaibhav Kapoor, Simar grew up in a family deeply connected to the film industry. Her mother later married real estate magnate Surendra Hiranandani in 2012. Despite her famous lineage, Simar has kept a low profile, steering clear of the limelight until now.
She pursued her higher education abroad, spending several years in the United States, where she developed a keen interest in the creative arts.

The Bollywood Debut – Ikkis
Simar will make her Bollywood debut with Ikkis, a Dinesh Vijan-produced Maddock Films project, directed by Sriram Raghavan, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Andhadhun and Badlapur.
The film is based on the real-life story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient who laid down his life during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
In the film, Simar stars alongside Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, and legendary actor Dharmendra, with Jaideep Ahlawat also playing a key role.
The film is set to release later this year and has already created immense buzz for its cast and powerful subject matter.
