Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf starrer Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has officially released in the theatres on October 2. Shashank Khaitan’s directorial romantic comedy drama has registered a decent opening and seems to have a promising start at the opening weekend box office.
According to early estimates by the trade website, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has earned Rs 1.16 crore gross (excluding blocked seats) at the advance booking box office collection.
More than 29,000 tickets have been sold in India. Among other top markets, Maharashtra had the highest sales, followed by Delhi and Rajasthan.
The film is notably giving tough competition to the five major romantic comedies released this year. Compared to Metro In Dino and Param Sundari, it has recorded higher ticket sales.
Considering the positive reaction to the trailer, songs, and other promotional materials, a significant increase in pre-sales is anticipated in the final twenty-four hours. It will benefit from the Gandhi Jayanti holiday. Since Jolly LLB 3 is the only significant rival at the ticket windows, the threat is also minimal.
However, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is expected to face stiff competition with Rishab Shetty’s highly anticipated pan-India film, Kantara: Chapter 1.
Produced by Dharma Productions, the romantic comedy also stars Maniesh Paul, Abhinav Sharma, and Akshay Oberoi.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari follows two former lovers in Delhi who try to rekindle old flames, leading to amusing mix-ups and deceptions. As chaos unfolds, a new, unexpected romance blooms.
