PM Narendra Modi biopic Maa Vande starring Unni Mukundan commences shooting: See pics

The journey of Maa Vande has officially commenced, with the makers of the biopic on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi beginning the first day of filming with a traditional pooja ceremony. Visuals from the ceremony were shared on social media today, marking the auspicious start of the project.

More than a customary ritual, the pooja symbolised the launch of a film that aims to chronicle the shaping of a man whose purpose went on to touch and fulfil a billion hearts. The film was originally announced on Narendra Modi’s birthday in September, and with cameras now rolling for the first time, Maa Vande sets out to tell a defining chapter in the story of modern India.

Titled “Maa Vande,” the film is envisioned as a powerful biographical drama that honours the Indian soil, a mother’s indomitable will, and the relentless determination that helped shape the destiny of a nation. At its heart lies a simple yet profound truth—that a mother’s resolve is stronger than countless battles, and from that strength, history itself is born.

The film is backed by Veer Reddy M. under the Silver Cast Creations banner and stars acclaimed Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan in the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Helmed by writer-director Kranthi Kumar C.H., the project draws inspiration from real-life events, blending the personal and political dimensions of Modi’s life with authenticity, dignity, and cinematic scale.

The narrative charts the evolution of a man moulded by values, sacrifice, and a deep sense of purpose, offering audiences a glimpse not just into the leader recognised worldwide, but also into the human journey behind the legacy.
