Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s upcoming romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is scheduled to release in theatres on December 25. Just days ahead of its theatrical debut, the film has received a U/A 16+ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC granted the certificate to the makers of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri after suggesting three cuts. Firstly, the board asked that the makers tone down a sexually suggestive scene in the first half of the film. As per the report, approximately 15 seconds from this scene were removed.
Second, the censor board directed the producers to omit and mute offensive language from specific dialogue and subtitles. Thirdly, the team was instructed by the CBFC to mute and eliminate any acronyms for vulgar terms that were used in a scene in the second half of the film.
On December 15, the producers resubmitted the movie to the CBFC after making these changes. According to the certification details, the film's final runtime was 145.41 minutes, or two hours, twenty-five minutes, and forty-one seconds.
