The much‑anticipated film Dadi Ki Shaadi is gathering buzz as its makers announce a projected release around Mother’s Day 2026 — a date that seems fitting for its heartwarming, family‑oriented narrative. The film stars Neetu Kapoor and Kapil Sharma, bringing together two beloved personalities from different eras of Bollywood for what appears to be a feel‑good cinematic experience.

What makes this project especially significant is that it marks the big‑screen debut of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, adding yet another chapter to the Kapoor family’s legacy in Hindi cinema. The story reportedly centers on the remarriage of a matriarch, a “grandmother’s wedding,” and promises a blend of comedy, emotion, and family values, catering to audiences of all ages.

Shooting for the film largely wrapped up following a 40‑day schedule in Shimla, with the cast and crew capturing scenic locales and local cultural texture to enrich the film’s backdrop. Only a few patchwork scenes remain, including a major end‑credit song. The director has revealed that this song will be a grand affair featuring 700 schoolchildren from various schools around Shimla, alongside the entire cast, making for a vibrant and celebratory finale.

He further added, "I wanted to complete the film after I locked my release date. We had shot a song choreographed by Ganesh [Acharya] master in Shimla earlier this year, but a one-day shoot remained as there was talk of a [conflict between] India and Pakistan," he recollects. On May 7, India launched strikes on Pakistan in an operation code-named Operation Sindoor. For safety, Mohan returned to Mumbai with the cast and crew.
