Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently recalled how Farhan Akhtar made him feel like a “nausikhiya” while filming Lakshya. Farhan has now responded on the same, saying he never meant to "teach" Amitabh Bachchan acting. He also admitted that he later realised he might have hurt him.

During his recent appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, Farhan denied ever attempting to "teach" Amitabh Bachchan how to act in Lakshya. He also clarified that, as a young, inexperienced director, he was attempting to acquaint himself with the discipline that comes with Army life on the first day of shooting in an Army cantonment.

Talking about his interaction with Amitabh Bachchan on set, Farhan said, “So it was his first day, and he was taking time to get it done in terms of performance. And from my end I was only thinking there is so much pressure upon me, so if I just go and talk to him in a room about if he is facing any difficulty, or I can help in understanding, so that from there onwards, we are efficient on set.”

Farhan recalled that everything there was so time-sensitive that he was not allowed to go over the time limit set by the authorities. He further noted that it made him anxious about finishing the shoot without any lag or delay, so that he wouldn't have to ask for permission once more.
