Black Panther 3 is now reportedly officially under production. The films has now became Marvel Studios’ top priorities.
In addition to the eagerly awaited X-Men reboot, Variety recently reported that the sequel will be one of the first big movies to be released following Avengers: Secret Wars.
Ryan Coogler, who has helmed the first two films, will return to direct the third instalment. The filmmaker has recently shared an update on the film during the world premiere of Ironheart, where he serves as executive producer.
During the premiere, Ryan was asked about the sequel’s progress. He stated, “Working. We’re working,” confirming that the project is well underway. However, he didn’t reveal the stage of the production.
The movie will have a plot involving time and space travel, according to insider DivinitySeeker. According to reports, the story follows Shuri as she looks into enigmatic vibranium anomalies in Wakanda that are characterised as subtle "echoes" of former Black Panthers.
The reports have also suggested that Marvel Studios is experiencing a great deal of internal excitement over these early story ideas.
Legendary actor Denzel Washington has been confirmed to join the cast, but the details about his role remain under wraps.

Black Panther 3 also features Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, and Winston Duke as M'Baku. The upcoming instalment is expected to explore the legacy of Wakanda and the role of Shuri as the new Black Panther.
Black Panther 3 is slated to hit the theatres in February 2028.
