Arjun Kapoor previously created buzz about his relationship with Malaika Arora all over social media. However, the couple parted ways months ago and Arjun has recently reflected on his ‘ideal relationship’.
During a recent interview with News18, Arjun said, “Jo de uska bhi bhala, jo na de uska bhi bhala.” He also shared his expectations from his future relationship and reflected on the importance of being comfortable in each other’s silence.
The actor shared, “What I want from love today is someone to share my silences with and that’s very important. Even if you’re in two different spaces, you can still be connected without having to speak all the time. The idea is to share things without even realising it."
He further explained that love doesn’t mean staying together with the person all the time.
Arjun Kapoor continued, “There has to be comfort and ease. You should’ve to look forward to going back and spending time with your person after finishing the day. Love doesn’t mean staying together with the person all the time. You should be wanting to genuinely building your life with them. It’s necessary for two people to understand each other’s professions too.”
Arjun Kapoor’s statement came after he confirmed his breakup with Malaika Arora. The ex-couple started dating in 2018 and split after six years of dating.
The duo often shared photos on their social media giving insights into their romance. However, Arjun and Malaika received huge backlash from their fans over their 12-year age difference. He confirmed his single status while promoting Singham Again in 2024.

On the work front, Arjun Kapoor will be next seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi. The film marks the actor’s return to Bollywood. The film is about a Delhi professional who navigates a complicated love triangle when his old flame returns to his life just as he begins falling for someone new. The love triangle leads to a series of comedic misunderstandings. The film also stars Hiten Patel, Kanwaljeet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar in key roles. The film is scheduled to release on February 21.
