Anne Hathaway is all set to return to the iconic The Devil Wears Prada sequel alongside Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the premiere, and the actress has just increased the excitement.
Hathaway was recently spotted channelling her character, Andy Sachs. Several pics from the set are going viral on social media as she started filming the sequel in New York City on Monday, July 21.'
In the pics, the actress sported a white tank top paired with denim maxi skirt. She layered her top with a black vest She completed her look with hair was down, flaunting her wavy locks and black sandals. She is seen carrying a newspaper in her hands.
However, Hathaway also gives a glimpse into her character on social media. She shared a picture while still being in her character and simply penned in the caption, “Andy Sachs 2025 #dwp2.”
In the photo, Hathaway is seen flaunting a bright smile while leaning on the balcony. She looked chic in a deep blue jumpsuit, pearl necklace and boots.
She continued teasing the sequel on her Instagram and shared a short clip of herself while walking towards the large statue of number two. She stopped and posed for the cameras before walking out of the frame. She simply dropped the iconic red heels, hinting at The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The upcoming highly anticipated sequel will revolve around Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. Miranda clashes with Blunt's character, a former assistant turned powerful executive of a luxury brand that Priestley needs for advertising.
However, it's currently unclear how Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, will fit into the story since she left Runway at the end of the first film to work at a newspaper.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 1, 2026.
