A special screening of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Sky Force was held, with several ministers in attendance to witness the film's portrayal of the Indian Air Force's bravery.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also joined actors Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya for the screening at the Air Force Auditorium in New Delhi.
Sharing the moments on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday evening, he posted several photos from the event. The screening highlighted the film's tribute to the valor and dedication of the Indian Air Force, with Singh commending the team for their portrayal of patriotism and bravery.
In one of the photos, Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya posed alongside several dignitaries, capturing the spirit of the event.
During the screening, Akshay was seated next to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The audience included top military leaders, such as Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Navy Chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar, and other senior officers from the armed forces. The gathering underscored the film's celebration of the Indian Air Force's bravery and service.
Sharing the pictures, the Defence Minister wrote, "Joined CDS and three service chiefs at the special screening of Sky Force. The film narrates the story of Indian Air Force’s bravery, courage and sacrifice during the 1965 War. I laud the makers of the film for their efforts."
Sky Force, directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, is a gripping tale of India's retaliatory strike on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war. The film features a stellar cast, including Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan. Set to release in theatres on January 24, Sky Force promises to be a powerful tribute to the courage and determination of the Indian Air Force.
In a recent interview with ANI, Veer Pahariya shared his hope that Sky Force would inspire the next generation, much like the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Lakshya did years ago.
"Working on my first film, Sky Force, was rather overwhelming. It is a huge opportunity and a responsibility for me to play a real life hero, squadron leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, who was one of the heroes of the 1965 India-Pakistan war, which we won against overwhelming odds...this story needs to be told for the future generations to get inspired by what our heroes of our country have done for our freedom," Veer shared.
