The cherished Hera Pheri franchise is finally making a comeback, and this time it's official, following years of excitement, conjecture, and circulating rumours.
Months of speculation about the future of Hera Pheri 3 have come to an end with Akshay Kumar's confirmation that the movie is still very much alive and moving forward.
In addition to its enormous fan base, the third installment of the cult comedy series from the early 2000s has been the subject of much discussion because of the off-screen drama that hampered its progress.
Fans were left wondering if the legendary trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal would ever reunite due to conflicts amongst cast members, legal issues, and creative disagreements.
However, in a recent interview on The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra – Season 2, produced by Gautam Thakker Films, Akshay Kumar addressed the elephant in the room with refreshing honesty.
“Nahi, yeh publicity stunt nahi hai. The things went legal, so when legal things are involved, we cannot call it a publicity stunt; it is a real thing.”
His clarification put to rest rumours that the off-screen conflict was staged to generate buzz. In the same breath, he gave fans exactly the reassurance they had been waiting for:
“But ab sab kuch thik ho gaya hai. Very soon, some kind of announcement can come. Yes, there were some ups and downs. But now everything is solved, and we are back together, and we have always been together. Yes, that's it!”
This revelation has reignited excitement among fans who have long cherished the comedic genius of Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri. The chemistry between Raju, Shyam, and Baburao has become iconic in Indian cinema, and the confirmation that the original team is reuniting has fuelled massive anticipation.
While the official release date is yet to be announced, one thing is now certain — the laughter is returning, and Hera Pheri 3 is finally back on track.
