Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi summoned by Pune court for disrespecting judiciary in Jolly LLB 3

The Pune court has sent out the notices and requested Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi to appear in the court on September 28 over a use of a slang in their upcoming film, Jolly LLB 3.

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer upcoming film, Jolly LLB 3, has landed in legal trouble. The Pune court has recently issued a notice to the actors over the film. Lawyer Wajid Khan Bidkar has filed a complaint against the actors, claiming that the movie mocks the legal system and court proceedings.

Bidkar claimed in his plea that Jolly LLB 3 disparages the judiciary and presents the legal profession in a negative light. Additionally, the petitioner took issue with a scene in the movie where judges are called "mamu," a slang term used in colloquial speech.

The court has sent out the notices and requested Arshad and Akshay to appear in the court on September 28. Further information is awaited.

However, this is not the first complaint against the upcoming film. Previously, the Ajmer District Bar Association President, Chandrabhan, filed a complaint in May 2024 against the makers of the film. The complaint claimed that the franchise disrespects the Indian judiciary system.
