Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapoor and Tollywood star Samantha Ruth Prabhu are reportedly set to co-star in a high-profile web series titled "Rakhtabeej." The project will be directed by the acclaimed filmmaking duo Raj & DK, known for their work on "The Family Man."
According to a recent report in Mid-Day, Aditya signed on to the series in May after months of discussions with the directors. Samantha was then brought on board shortly after. Both actors have reportedly begun individual training for the action-packed roles and will soon participate in joint preparation sessions.
This will be Kapoor's first collaboration with Raj & DK, while Prabhu reunites with the director duo for the third time following her successful appearances in The Family Man and the upcoming Citadel: Honey Bunny. The project also marks the first on-screen pairing of Kapoor and Prabhu.
Aditya's last acting credit was the 2023 film Gumraah. He also received critical acclaim for his performance in the Disney+ Hotstar web series The Night Manager. Samantha is expected to appear again in the upcoming season of The Family Man and will next be seen alongside Varun Dhawan in Citadel: Honey Bunny.
