Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par enjoyed a successful run at the box office, and now it is making its way to YouTube. Aamir has recently teamed up with his son, Junaid Khan, for the first time to announce the Sitaare Zameen Par YouTube release.
The father and son duo collaborated on a hilarious promotional video with a fun parody of Andaz Apna Apna. The video opens with Aamir entering the room and scolding Babu Lal for watching his recently released film by downloading it. However, Babu Lal then clarified that he is not watching the film for free.
The video then introduces Aamir’s son Junaid in the Andaz Apna Apna avatar and doing a parody of the film. He then started praising Aamir and calling him ‘maha purush’. After Aamir seems upset, Junaid asked, “Pita ji jab bhi mai khush ho jata hun, aap dukhi kyun ho jaate hai (Dad, whenever I become happy, why do you become sad?)”

Aamir responded, “Kyunki jab jab tu khush hua hun, mai barbaad hua hoon.” He added, “Mujhe yaad hai pehli dafa jab tu khush hua tha, tune kaha tha, ‘pita ji multistarrer kar lo’, maine Thugs of Hindustan kar li, aaj mai gaaliyaan kha raha hun (Because whenever you are happy, I am ruined. I remember the first time you were happy, you said the tune, ‘Dad, let’s make a multi-starrer’, I did Thugs of Hindustan, today I am getting abused).”
Aamir continued the reference to his flop films and continued, “Dusri dafa tu khush hua that, tune kaha tha ‘pita ji, world ki best film ka remake bana do’, maine Forrest Gump ka Laal Singh Chaddha bana diya, izzat to gayi… paise bhi gaye (When you were happy for the second time, you said 'dad, let’s make a remake of the best film in the world', I made Laal Singh Chaddha of Forrest Gump, I lost the respect... money was also lost).”
Later in the video, Junaid playfully asked Aamir to imagine watching his ‘super hit’ film Sitaare Zameen Par at home, dressed in comfy clothes and munching on popcorn. The idea left Aamir visibly excited, and he curiously asked his son how that could be possible.
Junaid left Aamir and the audience in shock when he admitted that he had rejected the Rs 100 crore deal and is bringing the film on YouTube, available for just Rs 100.
The video concluded with Aamir hilariously shouting and Junaid for the YouTube deal and calling him ‘nepo kid’. At the end of the video, fans also get a glimpse of Aamir’s younger son, Azad Rao Khan.
Sitaare Zameen Par will be available to watch on Aamir Khan Talkies YouTube Channel for Rs 100 starting from August 1.
Directed by Vaibhav Bundhoo, the promotional video is produced and executed by Fever Films and was shared on the official social media handle of Aamir Khan Productions. The video was accompanied by the caption that reads, “Dekhiye Superhit film SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR sir 100 rupaye mein Aamir Khan Talkies ke Youtube Channel par (Watch superhit film stars Zameen Par Sir for Rs 100 on Aamir Khan Talkies Youtube channel).”
Director of Fever Films, Vaibhav, has recently reflected on collaborating with Aamir and said, “At Fever Films, an Ad production house's goal is to execute the best stories coming from Creative agencies and Brand clients. Directing this ad film was like a dream come true, as I got to work with the legend Aamir Khan, while using a cult favourite reference of Andaz Apna Apna & the product we are selling in the ad film is a story itself.”
Meanwhile, the spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna and written by Divy Nidhi Sharma. Besides Aamir, the film features Genelia Deshmukh and 10 debutants in the lead roles.
Sitaare Zameen Par was released in the theatres on June 20. The film revolves around a basketball coach, played by Aamir, who serves community service by training Neurodivergent adults after a DUI. His outlook changes as he learns from his players.
On the work front, Aamir Khan is producing Lahore 1947 starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. He will also produce Ek Din, featuring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, under his banner Aamir Khan Productions.
