Aamir Khan remembers Sridevi during Loveyapa trailer launch, says "Main Sridevi ji ka sabse badaa fan raha hu..."

After releasing the catchy title track "Loveyapa Ho Gaya," the creators of Loveyapa have now unveiled the film's trailer at a grand event in the city. Aamir Khan had the honor of launching the trailer for his son Junaid Khan's first theatrical film, following his debut in the OTT series Maharaj. Aamir talked about the legendary actor Sridevi and how he is her biggest fan.

The film also stars Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the legendary Sridevi, who made her OTT debut with The Archies. Aamir was joined by both Junaid and Khushi at the exciting trailer launch event, marking a significant moment in the careers of these young stars as they prepare to make their big-screen debuts.

The event was filled with anticipation, as fans eagerly awaited the glimpse of the promising romantic comedy, which is set to captivate audiences with its charming storyline.

Aamir became emotional as he reflected on memories of Sridevi during the event, he mentioned, "Main Sridevi ji ka sabse badaa fan raha hu. Aap logon ko yeh pataa hoga, shuru se I've always spoken about Sri aur mera yeh sapna tha ke ek din Sri ke saath kaam karne ka mauka mujhe mile. So, it's Khushi's film and it's an important moment for me. When I saw the film, I felt I'm watching Sri again."

He further said, "Aap logon ki pehli theatrical film hai. I pray for you and wherever she is, I'm sure she's looking at you with a lot of joy and happiness in her heart. I remember her today with a lot of fondness and it would have been so nice if she was here today but she's with us." Aamir added, that it's a special day for him for many reasons, one of them being Khushi."

While talking about his son, Junaid, Aamir mentioned, "As a father main kaafi absent raha hoon, main apni dhunki mein rehta hoon kaam mein. Toh aaj mujhe accha lag raha hai ke Junaid ne apna career apne dhang se shuru hua hai. Jis profession mein main aaya. After 35 years of me being here, he's also joined this profession. So, it's a very happy and emotional moment for me. I'm very proud of the way he's conducted himself. Jis tara meri ammi ne mujhe parvarish di thi aur Reena aur maine Ira aur Junaid ko di hai, I'm happy with that."

Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa is scheduled to release on February 7, 2025. The film promises to be an engaging romantic drama, featuring a fresh narrative and a talented cast.
