Aamir Khan has officially provided an update on his most talked-about and eagerly awaited movie, Mahabharat. The actor has recently revealed that it has taken him decades to bring the epic story to life.
He also suggested that this is not just another film for him; instead, it is a creative and spiritual endeavour that he views as the most significant undertaking of his life.
In a recent conversation with Komal Nahta on Game Changers, the actor revealed that internal project preparations have already started, and scripting is anticipated to begin in the next two months. He also discussed the project's enormous scope, calling it a "yagna."
Aamir Khan has never held back when discussing his plans to make the Indian epic Mahabharata a motion picture. The movie has not yet been made, despite decades of discussions about the project.
During the interaction, the actor was asked about an update on the Mahabharata. Aamir revealed, “My work has already started from the inside."
The actor suggested that the project is a labour of love and vision that spans generations of planning. He also noted that the film has been in his mind for the last 25 to 30 years. He revealed that the movie will soon be a reality and referred to it as his "most important" project in life.
He admitted that the process will be time-consuming, but it is deeply meaningful and rewarding. Aamir said, “Mahabharat is not a film; it is a yagna, so you have to be prepared for that.”
The actor added that he hopes to start working on the movie this year if everything goes as planned. He affirmed that the scripting process will start within the next two months.
On the other hand, Aamir Khan is rumoured to put his other project, Dadasaheb Phalke biopic, on hold. He and Rajkumar Hirani, the iconic duo behind iconic films like 3 Idiots and PK, were set to reunite for a much-anticipated biopic. Meanwhile, the actor has reportedly asked Hirani to rework the script, putting the film on hold.
