PM Modi to file nomination from Varanasi sharp at 11.40 am today. Why?

Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha election 2024: The PM will file his nomination around 11.40 am as the time coincides with Abhijit Mahurat and Anand Yog. May 14 also holds significance due to the conjunction of Ganga Saptami and Pushya Nakshatra.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will file his nomination from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.  The PM is seeking a third consecutive term from Varanasi which will go to polls on June 1 in the seventh and final phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

A decade ago, when he first came to Varanasi to file his nomination, the PM had delivered the memorable “Mujhe Maa Ganga ne bulaya hain speech”.

Ahead of filing his nomination, PM Modi may seek the blessings of Mother Ganga at Dashaswamedh Ghat. He may then travel to Namo Ghat by cruise and then go to Kaal Bhairav Temple at Kashi Kotwal. After worshipping at the temple, he will move to the Collectorate Office for filing the nomination. He will reportedly file his nomination around 11.40 am as the time coincides with Abhijit Mahurat and Anand Yog.
