Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday spelled out his vision for the "next 10 years" of the NDA government at a mega meeting of BJP and its allies in New Delhi, saying that the "most successful alliance" in the country will deliver on good governance, development and quality of life.
In his wide-ranging address to NDA partners, PM Modi also described the NDA victory in the just-concluded Lok Sabha elections as a "mahavijay" and contrasted it with Congress's performance. He said that BJP secured more seats in 2024 alone than the Congress has collectively managed in the last three elections.
Earlier during the meeting, Modi was unanimously elected as the leader of the alliance after BJP's Rajnath Singh proposed his name as head of the BJP, NDA parliamentary party and the Lok Sabha. All NDA partners, including TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar, endorsed Modi's leadership and heaped praise on him at the meeting.
Terming NDA as the most successful alliance, PM Modi said that the aim of the alliance is to reach unanimity across all the key decisions. Stating that the last ten years of his tenure was just a trailer, PM Modi said that the NDA will deliver on good governance in next 10 years. "In the next 10 years, NDA will deliver on good governance, development, improving the quality of life," he said.

On what NDA stands for
Modi said that people expect the party to deliver more than before and added that NDA stands for "new, developed and aspirational India."
The BJP leader stated that NDA will prioritise poor as well as the middle class and also continue to ensure welfare of people and deliver quality life to all.
Attack on Opposition
Modi attacked the opposition bloc INDIA saying that while they blamed the EVM before the announcement of results, that changed on June 4. This is the strength of India's democracy, he stated.
Taking a dig at the Congress, he said the opposition party could not even touch the 100 seats mark, and that their total seats in the last three LS polls were fewer than the BJP's tally in this election alone.

'We all waited for this moment to come,' says BJP president JP Nadda
BJP president JP Nadda, in the beginning of the meet said, that everyone waited for this historic moment when Modi would become the PM for the third time.
“It’s a historic moment. We all waited for this moment to come. We all will elect today NDA leader (Narendra Modi) as the Prime Minister for the third time. On this historic occasion, we are here as witnesses," he said,
Alliance not a compulsion for us but a commitment, says Rajnath Singh
Rajnath Singh said that the alliance is fortunate to get a sensitive Prime Minister like Modi once again. "I would like to make it clear that this alliance is not a compulsion for us but a commitment," he said.

“Rajnath Singh has proposed Narendra Modi's name as the leader of BJP and National Democratic Alliance in Lok Sabha. I support this proposal. This isn’t only the wish of leaders sitting here but of 140 crore people of this country,” said Shah.

Narendra Modi is right leader at right time for India, says TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu
India is having a right leader at the right time, said Chandrababu Naidu. He added that NDA government under the visionary leadership of Narendra Modi has taken significant initiatives in the last 10 years.
"The country has witnessed remarkable progress and transformation. I am in politics for the last four decades. I have seen so many leaders. I can give credit to Narendra Modi ji for making India proud globally,” said Naidu.
'We will be with him,' Nitish Kumar reiterates support
JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar said it is a matter of great happiness that he has been the PM since last 10 years and is going to become the PM again. Kumar stated that Modi has served the country and whatever is left he will fulfil this time.
"I have noticed that a few people have won (Lok Sabha elections) here and there by saying useless things. They haven't done any work, never served the country. Next time when you come, they all will be defeated," said Kumar.

After Modi's selection as the leader, senior members of the alliance like Naidu, Kumar and Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde will join the Prime Minister for a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu to present her the list of parliamentarians supporting him.
